Ma-Kuh-Ron

I was very lucky to grab one last spot to Baroque Bistro's Macaron Masterclass in Sydney eventhough I called in to book a place only 5 days before the class!! Lucky me! One of the attendee booked 4 months in advance in order to get to one class! Guess it was fated eh?? hahaha (funny how I was talking to Wen JUST about how I'm more on the emotional/spiritual type of person I believe how things are meant to be :P)

I sound like i travelled all the way to Sydney JUST to attend this class but was actually to visit Jing haha :P

Title is Ma-Kuh-Ron cause it's actually macaron, not macaroons!!!! Knowledge ding ding lol. And there were 8 of us, all passionate about food, we were discussing on baking classes and those amazing macarons over lunch, some shared their work of labour ie their cakes they made and some are super pro at decorating cakes!! Ahhh wish I'm like them!!

After attending one class, I'm hooked! I'm thinking to enrol to more when I get back to KL cause the classes in Melbourne are either fully booked or too expensive =/

we were only given two recipes to make two flavours which are chocolate and salted caramel (SO GOOODDDD favourite besides jasmine flavour) and the chef offered us some other flavours to pack :P Hence more colourful hehehehehe :P

My Valentine

Valentine's day was 2 weeks ago wow how time flies. Celebration of love, lovers, love towards yourself. So I had a date with my Korean girlfriend hahaha Her exact words were "Let's have more fun than lovers" lololll So right when they say you shouldn't just celebrate love on Valentine's day but celebrate it everyday with people you love *melt*


Best place to satisfy my french toast craving, Mart130 :D. This time with real vanilla bean mascarpone, not ice cream =P I'm convincing myself that mascarpone is healthier than ice cream, it is right right? Cause ice cream melts and I eat more cos my bread absorbed the cream?

My date hhahahaha and her chicken and bacon sandwich. Seriously she's one of the greediest person ever. She ordered that cause it comes with both chicken and bacon. AND YET she doesn't gain any weight?? Korean metabolism anyone lol OH OH my brioche french toast with bananas, crushed macadamia, orange syrup with vanilla bean mascarpone. Mascarpone is to DIE for.

Then we board on the tram not knowing that 5000 kids were to hop on the next station. You know when you were in high school you have this sweaty uniform smell??? Yeah.. it was hella noisy and smelly.

Tie a Yellow Reebonz on the Old Oak Tree

Today I'm going to sell you a bag. Not a real bag bag but to convince you WHY I should win this lovely nude shade Marc Jacobs The XL Single bag :D Reebonz have came up with this lovely contest for us to win our desired bags just by posting pictures of our spring outfits!!! What not to love about spring?? Imagine running through fields of daisies, galloping horses in the meadows, faded sun rays in the horizon... Ahhhhh talking about these make me think about Melbourne!!! :D

Spring to me is about florals, soft textures, pastels, something very... Soft hahaha. So I've came up with 3 outfits that I think that is my "style" and not all too floral and too bright (eventhough I know that SS11 is all about colour blocking and mixing prints but it has to suit your own style!)

Seen this baby in real life and it is the right shade of nude (just the way I like it) and soft quilted leather (mmmm we eat leather didn't cha know) and I love how it can be used as a sling bag, shoulder bag or even a clutch!!! I'm a sucker for bags that has a longer strap (best if they have top handles too :P but that's besides the point cause I think right now this will make the perfect bag for all seasons, even SS12,13,14,15 etc)

I'm kinda into this bohemian gypsy thing lately (like very rustic rings, big chunky accessories, tassels, fringes, braids, fortune tellers etc :P) hence my kaftan top!! I love this top cause it has this fringe all over and love the batwing sleeves that covers my flab, and the bag, will be perfect to sling over my body so when I try to "fly" with my tassel sleeves, it won't obstruct! :P I'm doing the "squat" pose directed by Refinery29 wtf :P

I like how the Koreans always have a sling bag over their bodies when they are out, I asked my friend Seulgi, she says she just like a small bag and doesn't like to carry around such a big bag unless they're going for classes. So this bag would be perfect when I'm heading out in a dress (and look "demure" lol)

like my skirt!!??? I loveee it got it at 20-30 bucks cheaper than Forever New :P:P And it's pretty and sheer wtf


My favourite part of Spring is the weather!! The sheer maxi skirt would be perfect for the perfect weather cause it won't be too warm for springy weather!! :D Well you can call this a "night" spring look with the long skirt and you can use the bag as a clutch (not in Malaysia fml cause will get robbed wtf) and the gold chains on the bag is just glam glam glam for night event or even a casual picnic at the park (YES I wear sheer stuff to picnics please refer to my sydney post last December haha)

Pooping rainbows

We were planning on surprising Jing on the day we arrived in Sydney cause didn't get to celebrate Jing's birthday on that day itself. She mentioned she wants a cake and must be "something cute". So I had the grand plan of making a rainbow cake adapted from Martha Stewart, well it's actually something whipped up by Whisk Kid (my current favourite baking blog lovelove). To make even layers of the cake, it requires LOTS and LOTS of icing and we know that anything made from too much butter and sugar is not good *cough*

So the ambitious me decided to make a cream cheese frosting with lemon zest!!! Sounds yum, it is yummy =p


And we were joking how eating the whole cake will make us all shit rainbows like Unicorns wtfff

1. Before adding colouring
2. After half a bottle of the colouring wtf we were suppose to use Gel colouring for more saturated colours but I couldn't find them at Safeway or Coles so had to settle for normal food colouring. Hence "pastel" like colours, perfect for SS11 wtf Proenza Schouler you hear me haha

5. Covered with yummy icing and wax -_-
6. When cut open!!! So colourful :P

Please bear in mind this is my first time frosting a cake and I have no suitable tools except for a rubber spatula and a butter knife lol. The layers look a lot more even after the cake was refrigerated though!!! And it's yummy :D Oh god I was checking with Jon regarding the ingredients they have at home and oh boy they were so little plain flour left but we have self raising flour so had to settle, end up with a self-made concoction of 1/2 cup plain flour and 2 cups of self raising flour for 6 layers of cake! It turned out good. I also added 2 cups instead of 2 1/3 cups but it tasted okay, could be less sweet too! :P


The icing was made from approx 3 bars of cream cheese (cough) and about 1/2 stick of butter and lots of icing sugar =/ Oh welllllll I scooped the icing out when eating the cake *guilt*


Awww but the colour are so so pretty :))))))) HAPPY! :D

Empty luggage heavy hearts

5th night to my Sydney trip. Been doing pretty much a lot of nothing, meaning, we like doing nothing except for staying at home, watching dramas (OMG so into My Princess lovelovelove) and cooking. :) Was baking for Jing's birthday surprise and it was quite a success! I have been binging on birthday cake -_- And was attending the Macaron Masterclass at Baroque Bistro, it was so so so much fun :))))) Money well spent, one of the best best best experience I ever had :)))) I wanna go to more of these classes!!!! Le Cordon Bleu in KL??? Bring it on =D


One thing I hate about travelling is that I don't poopoo till the last few days, left me feeling congested as hell for the first few days. And holidays are the only time I let myself slightly looser (but I have been eating a lot of fruits and try to eat home cooked stuff) and I have no idea how much weight I've gained in this week long vacation =/

Random snippets in Melbourne at Rachels place and Starbucks at KLIA, my must hangout spot when travelling wtf cause I always arrive really early at the airport and had nothing to do can't afford jackshit in the airport Hermes anyone hahhahaah

I've also started using SKII, I know I've heard stories about people's skin screwing up after stopping but my skin was in total crisis before I used it and I do see some improvements!! Like some parts of my face are smoother, less scars and less pimples and also smaller pores :D We'll see how far this gets me. Well, skincare won't work when you sleep at 3am everyday, your skin needs rest and best to sleep before 12 cause your skin rests best around 1am :D I've started my 肌道 have you? :P


hahaha I remember when I was talking to Wen in my room and she just said "really got a bit difference, remember their advertisement "come closer and closer" cause no pores" hahahahah

NIASENG

I had an almost perfect day until... I had 5 bowls of MSG for dinner so fucking thirsty and plus, some fucking angmoh don't have the fucking courtesy to have MANNERS to play with chocolate sauce in a restaurant with his friends and got chocolate all over me?? WTF?? On my top, my legs, my shorts and my arms niasenfgechaohaiiii. cheebye fuck la. I just glared at them refuse to accept apology and stomp off to the washroom. And I smell like some cheap fuck chocolate niamaaaaaaa. Mind my french I'm pissed. You know if I were wearing some light coloured clothes I would have flipped and ask him "what if I smother your face with MY used pad" yah I have sick thoughts I always wanted to feed someone I really hate with my pads cannot ar cheebye (no pun intended).


And I didn't notice cause they were already quite noisy so the laughters were just ignored. Until I heard the girl said something vaguely "I got chocolate on the girl" I immediately wipe off some of the "wetness" I felt from my shorts and it smelt funny and it was chocolate sauce. -_-


Seriously if you are of sane mind and you are MIDDLE AGE (sorry they look way too mature to be playing with chocolate sauce, are you like what? 4?) please act your fucking age!!!


Reason why I wanna leave Australia, cause I cannot take some of their niaseng behavious who think that they are all that. YES they are civilised people, PLENTY of them, but some of them are just plain ignorant, childish, insecure about us fucking ASIANS taking all their jobs cause we are capable like that. If you're not threaten, why hate? So much for "multicultural city" wow.

And the best ever original flavoured thick yogurt with crushed honey macadamia nuts. Was just about to pay for my plain yogurt when I saw some nicely glazed golden brown thingy that resembles corn flakes and it's actually honey macadamia nuts :D SO GOOOOODDDD nomnomnom.

AND THE CUTEST BULLDOG IN FBI SUIT NAWWWWW i wanna die. I think, I shall have a bulldog and a schnauzer :D:D:D:D So cute =3
