Naked Tea Leaf

It was wen's birthday on the 23rd and off we go to pavilion to grab her present but NOOOOO!!! The Bianca clutch she's been eying for ages was sold out and it was sorta a wasted trip (but I got new lipstick so I'm cool with that haha)

Cheesecake for the broken souls (was supposed to be her birthday cake but I ate it all wtf). Did I mention I have a super soft spot for cheesecakes?? Oreo, chocolate, caramel, lemon, marble, any kinds of cheesecake will make me smile (just that my weighing scale will hate me).

I set an alarm at 8am to head to Tesco to grab some ingredients to actually bake a cheesecake for Wen but I accidentally hit Stop instead of Snooze. >.> Why did they invent the Snooze button anyway?

Just to show you this top I got from Korea that I reallllly love. It's like, I dunno I feel like a princess when I'm wearing it :P (yalah cannot marry the royal family then at least I "dress" like one wtf)

Carrot

Pardon the previous post. Things like that often happen when you have hormones. And it's not that I want to! It's a need some time.

pictures of a random high tea at One World. I was... I dunno, rather disappointed at the food =( I mean simple things like Biscotti, and maybe Clotted Cream for scones weren't delivered appropriately? Seriously is this how a supposedly 5 star hotel suppose to serve? I mean yea it's a high tea set worth Rm50++ shared among 3 but still? Yes the sashimi was fresh, but the dorayaki (is it what the red bean pancake thing is called?) tasted like it's fresh out of a box, and mmm... yeah the scone was too... moist. I'd rate a, well 5.5/10 for it. Could have been lower if my smoothie didn't turn out well.

sorry no pictures of my sisters cause I'm a narcissist. Love how my cape top covered half my arms and made it look so skinny lol.

DO YOU LIKE MY CARROT RING!? It's so cute I could eat a baby carrot now. lol.

仁寺

One of the more touristy itinerary of my trip in Seoul, we went to Insa-dong, after paying a visit to Gyeongbokgung (Korean palace, will leave another entry for that are you excited, or like excited?)

Insa-dong is a more touristy area, apparently a 700m long street, filled with Korean traditional crafts and culture. :D Hanbok (Korean traditional costume for the ladies) anyone? I was tempted to get myself a hanbok and after hearing that you have to pay at least ₩150,000 (that's about... RM450 and up) for the cheapest lowest quality hanbok. =/ I'd rather buy a few nice pieces of accessories/jewelry or some clothes :P

According to Visit Korea, during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the street was dominated by Dohwawon, a place of study for painters. Still filled with lots of painting and lots of crafty items. :)

Went to this little restaurant in one of the hidden lanes around Insa-dong for late lunch. I love the cuttle fish appetizer it was so good I keep eating it and wanted to get morrreeeeee in the supermarket! T_T Sorry for the blurry picture parkinsons you see -_- I loveee all the frames around the restaurant!!! Anyone wanna sponsor me frames for my room???? :P:P And maybe some nails since you're at it.

Sorry didn't take much pictures of Insa-dong, wasn't too keen on the rip-off prices of metal chopsticks (I mean they weren't like overpriced but still, I already have enough of random souvenirs lol). Yeah but if you see lots of calligraphy brushes stores, then you're at the right street! :P And that massssssiiiivveeeeee brush, is sorta the "landmark". :P

Gap

Even Ickle has a thigh gap =(

고진감래

If there is one thing that the Koreans love???

It's alcohol. YJ has been asking me out for drinks/clubbing/pub/lounge/bar since I reach Seoul and le finally we met her at Hongdae (famous hangout spots for drinks and lots of eye candies be it male or female and lots of young people and I'd say, it definitely beat the "clubbing" scene in Melbourne maybe, a hundred times, yeah not that I club every weekend in Melbourne but enough to understand, at least the people still behave themselves after drinking hehe)

The 4 korean letters that read 고진감래 (GoJinGamLae), is a chinese proverb 苦尽甘来. Which means bitter sweet (bitter comes first then the sweetness follows). Which is also the subject of discussion today wtf.

It's a korean cocktail that YJ wanted to make for me hahahahaha with the ingredients of Beer, Soju and Coke! :D I was like ooh what is that and these 3 drinks are mixed in different layers to create the Bittersweet taste! Interesting huh??

Photobucket

The first pic is Korean rice wine (SKII IS THAT CHU hahahah) that tasted really nice, sweet and I don't know how to say that in English but it's 醇 in cina language.

So you will need 2 shot glasses and a normal glass!! hahaha Sounds like making a jagerbomb but maybe better :P One shot of coke, then layer one shot of Soju and pour beer over!! Beer tastes a little bitter and slowly you'll have some soju (which is slightly sweeter) and you end with coke! Which is sweet!! hahah I actually had three glasses of these and I was so so red (maybe as red as gochujang wtf or my hair hahaha) and was well, a little tipsy and I was downing fried chicken (not before I sober up and took my meds hehehehe)

Photobucket
Photobucket
Korean sausage (I think it's pork intestine wrap with rice noodles and vegetables, I actually like it considering I'm not a fan of the organ family wtf) and FRIED CHICKEN~~~ Beer and chicken omnomnom =p

Paris with Love

If you walk enough along the streets of Seoul, you'll prolly see lots and lots of this bakery shop name Paris Baguette.

I have no idea what that was till Wen told me that it's this major bakery chain that sells pretty decent baked goods, and well a cafe!! Coffee for one please!!

Here's a picture of the Gangnam branch, where I sat and had a cuppa latte while waiting to join the rest for dinner. I think there were 2 stories and just a lot of yummy baked croissants and macarons and cakes :D

Photobucket

Love coffee art!!! Anyone knows where else in Seoul they serve coffees with cute animal art on coffee?? I have been dying to visit one and drink coffee till I die just so I can see different kinds of animals on my coffee =D Bunny please :D:D:D

Owh and that specs thingy, it's this shop that sells only spectacles and sunnies and they have some really nice shades and frames. I got a pair of sunnies that resembles Oska's shades from Secret Garden wtf the name of my sunnies is Oska haha (sorry I'm a kdrama fan *fangirlscream*)

Hongik University branch (much smaller but it's sorta a landmark for people to wait for dates, friends families etc)

was waiting for YJ before dinner so head there for some coffee and our first meal of the day wtf. We became some nocturnal freaks we had breakfast at dinner time! I was channeling Park Bom from 2NE1 and surprisingly no one gave me weird stares cause they have even crazier hair colours than I do and they all look fantabulous in them!! T_T I was suppose to have a side ponytail but i think it dropped a little and less high (and less retarded wtf). I AM LOVING MY NEW LIPSTICK :D:D:D:D It's call Peach something (can't read hangeul to save my life FYI) and it's from Tony Moly. :)

Nah this is Park Bom wtf

Past Present Future

I just randomly wrote inspirational quotes in my new organizer. I know there's smart phone whatsoever, but there's something about hand written notes. Be it an extra human touch or that a messy handwriting makes things nicer, it's just different. A not so organized organizer, I'd call it a notebook if I can cause really, what is there to organize right now? Not that I have 20 meetings to attend or 30 clients to liaise with. A notebook, is far more appropriate.

Photobucket

Got this notebook in Korea. Past Present and Future written on the front. When I open it up in the future, my past will be reflected. The present moment that I'm writing in it, reflects my past, which will shape my future. (yeah and there's this super embarrassing thing that the book was sealed so when I tear the seal open there was a 'and You' in the page after -.-)

Photobucket

Get an organizer (or fine, your phone) pass it to your friend, ask them to write something inspiring, or something motivating, or just something that will put a smile on your face, be it a memory that you both share or just a smiley face. It'll make a difference. :)

Tree-lined

Twas a day by myself cause Jing and Wen were too tired and I ventured out to the streets of Seoul to Garosu-gil at Sinsa-Dong, Garosu-gil also meant tree-lined streets (su is tree, gil is street so I think garo means line hahaha it all makes sense when you understand chinese heh)

Street view. I love the vibe there, everything seem so quaint and nice and just damn NICE. Everything looked extra pretty and you just want to walk into every single restaurant or cafe (and say hi to hot guys wtf) and drink numerous cups of coffee and get high on caffeine. Everything is just vibrant. I feel happier when I'm walking along the street and there are many small little lanes that cut through the street that brings you to other alleys filled with mini surprises. :)

And they have all this really cute bookstores (Kikki K go suck my toes) that sells really nice notebooks, card holders, stationeries, paper and just random cute shit!! I have yet to visit Artbox (ARGH HOW CAN) but I heard that they have very cute random things (ahem panda ahem wen wtf)

Saw this cute cupcake store. "Good Evening Cupcake" that sells really pretty looking cupcakes and they even have their version of keyrings, too cute. :D

Ahhh love the interior. So cosy and everything just seem so cute. Why am I so easily amused?? Look at the array of candies on the wall D:

Photobucket
CUPCAKE!! :) This is the pumpkin and peanut cupcake. It tasted alright, quite nice but I'd love to taste more peanut!!! And maybe pumpkin wtf. But it looked too pretty not to bring home :P And I absolutely love the way they packed the cupcakes, each in an individual plastic cup, it won't smudge the cream and my cupcakes survived multiple collision with the crazy human traffic in Seoul, and I dropped it on the floor cause I fell asleep on the subway lol. And this was at 2am and it looked perfectly beautiful <3

haha YJ told me she's so proud of me that I can manage to make my way around Seoul (Internet ftw) I used the SMRT route planner and found the nearest way to get there, just 1 transfer and 4 stations and I'm there!!! Sinsa apparently is this residence area that's considered atas, I think something like Bangsar where all the good looking and posh people hang out, and the really good looking people sit outside of cafes waiting to get scouted.

When I say good looking, they are REALLY good looking. I was telling Erv that I'm just gonna throw away all my dignity and pride and reputation (since I'm not living there for good wtf) and just go up to the hot guy and say HI hahahahaha I should have done that damnnnnn.

Man... things I would do just to go back again. sigh~
